Before I ever created Fort Flowers, I inadvertently planted the seed for the idea in someone else's mind! In addition to running Fort Flowers, I also work as a full-time wedding photographer in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. Once, while attending a local craft show, I stumbled upon a vendor who was selling these stunning pressed flowers. While talking to her, I suggested that her creations would be perfect for preserving bridal bouquets!
After leaving the event, a light bulb moment occurred. I asked myself, "Why don't I follow my own advice and press bridal bouquets myself". That was the spark that ignited the creation of Fort Flowers. In our debut year, we created 47 unique and beautiful pressed and framed floral pieces, and the majority of these were for my own photography clients – brides whose weddings I had the privilege of capturing. These wedding bouquets were transformed into timeless keepsakes, perfect wedding keepsakes that will last forever. The journey since then has been nothing short of remarkable, and the joy it brings to brides is what fuels my passion for floral bouquet preservation.
